If you are like me, you use weebly education for your website. At first when I logged in here, I was in a panic however so far, so good. I am have had some trouble navigating and there seems to be more steps to get to the editing aspect of my website, however other aspects seem also to be more in-depth with more avenues to reach areas. I never got around to dealing with it for education purposes since I got so busy with other areas so I don't know how it is for other folks who used it more often however I think they understand the original use was different and are making it easier to leave their site. I was reading their customer support is swamped however it only switched over August 1st so everyone is likely in a panic!
I for one don't like change. It is probably because I am older. The young today have had technology as part of their lives from the get go and can accept change so much easier and are more willing to go with the flow with changes, however I know, as you get older and more set in your ways, changes can be difficult even if they are necessary! I have yet to figure out how to get the background colour on this site other than white. At this point, I am not willing to mess with it. If I had a back up copy, perhaps, however not right now, after being ill with COVID and infection, I am taking my time, as any wise person would, when it comes to creating and dealing with even more up-upheavals and change in one's life! Projects are going along slowly but surely since they have to be juggled with daily living. Isn't that just life? A person has to survive in this world as well as do the things they want to do. I am fortunate because I really enjoy my work-a-day job so even though switching gears can be a challenge, as well as finding ways to do everything I want to do, it doesn't mean it can't be done, it just means I have learned to become a plodder and not a dasher! I will get there when I get there, and if I don't get there, then I don't get there. It is all about the journey anyhow and I must say, I am enjoying all the different aspects of being a plodding Indie publisher! It isn't always easy, however it is always possible! If you are feeling discouraged because you lost your momentum and can't seem to get back into the writing and/or illustrating groove, don't worry about it. I consider this time to be the "composting" time when everything is perking. Eventually it will all suddenly become clear and you will be right back at it and with more vigour and enthusiasm since whatever has you bogged down and avoiding, will have worked it's way out. I found this with other artists in many fields! So hang in there! Just keep on keeping on!
